Telescope was a site specific installation that we created in a Victorian observatory as part of Le Weekend festival, Stirling, in May 2009. The installation was based on sounds generated from star observations and from the observatory itself. We worked in collaboration with Hungarian astrophysicist Zoltan Kollath to generate some sounds from star observations made by amateur astronomers. The sounds were processed, layered and edited in order to take advantage of the peculiar acoustic properties of the dome-shaped observatory.
